Psychotherapy FAQs :What to Expect in Counseling Sessions
-
I see clients both in-person in Fort Worth off of Camp Bowie Blvd near Downtown and virtually anywhere in the state of Texas.
-
Please use the contact form on the site to get in touch with me and I’ll follow up to guide you through the next steps. Before scheduling an intake appointment, I offer a free 15-20 minute consultation call to ensure we’re a good fit for working together.
This call is a time for us to get to know each other and where you can describe to me what you’ve been experiencing as well as ask any questions you might have for me about the process of therapy.

A 50-minute session is $135, and a 100-minute session is $270. I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots, but they are currently full. The easiest and most secure way to pay is through the online patient portal, which I also use for consents and telehealth. This platform automatically processes payments using the card you have on file.

I am not in-network with any insurance providers. However, I’m happy to provide superbills to support your claims for those with high deductible plans or out-of-network benefits. It is the client’s responsibility to handle all insurance-related matters, including verifying coverage, submitting claims, and seeking reimbursement.
My decision not to be in-network is rooted in prioritizing client privacy, maintaining autonomy in treatment approaches, and avoiding the constraints of insurance-mandated diagnoses and audits. You can see more in a blog post I wrote here.

A superbill is a detailed receipt for insurance companies that includes essential information such as your diagnosis, procedure codes, and the services provided. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement after paying for sessions.
Since coverage varies, I recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to confirm if they offer out-of-network benefits for mental or behavioral health services, as some might not.
I do not provide superbills for Medicare as I have formally opted out.
-
I ask all clients to provide at least 24 hours' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. However, I offer one "freebie" per calendar year for non-emergency situations.
This policy is in place to ensure mutual respect for our time and commitment to the work. Full details are outlined in the informed consent documentation provided when you begin therapy.
